In District with Rep. Jennifer Sanalitro

Illinois State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro's calendar has been filled with meetings, tours and events since she returned to the 48th District after spending months in Springfield for the legislative session. Since returning, she has made it her mission to get out into the District to touch base with residents, local leaders and employers to ensure she provides them with the ultimate representation when she is in Springfield.

Already in July, Sanalitro toured the College of DuPage where she learned about the educational opportunities available to students that will help them succeed in their future endeavors.

Also this month, Sanalitro joined Senator Seth Lewis and the Illinois Manufacturers Association in presenting an Itasca company, Chicago Glue & Machine with the Employer Training Investment Program grant on behalf of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

In June, Sanalitro attended the Restore Justice annual luncheon in Chicago to increase her knowledge about Illinois' criminal justice system. She also participated a ribbon cutting for the new Clearmont Pedestrian Bridge over the Salt Creek in Elk Grove Village, visited Bella Terra, a nursing home in Bloomingdale and presented an update at a legislative breakfast for the Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce.

Sanalitro hosted an Unclaimed Property event on June 20 to help residents find lost assets. She also partnered with Senator Lewis to hold a Kids Fair at Erickson Elementary School on June 14 drawing nearly 200 people. She is planning two events for next month, a Senior Expo on August 20 and Job Fair on August 28.  In the works for the fall is a Medicare 101 Presentation and a Shred event.

Sanalitro's steadfast commitment to her district is evident in all her interactions both at home and at the Capitol. Her considerable efforts in her district serves her constituents well.
